What is a 'pet sin'?

It would be something you feed.  

The best way to think about it is a dog begging under the table.  Sometimes it does the cutest thing or whines and you give in and toss a scrap.  You know you shouldn't…it's not the best for him, but you do it because you feel it's showing him love.  But after awhile, the dog is overweight and this misguided show of affection has trained you both into a wicked cycle…the dog expects it now and you feel guilty if you don't give in.

It's that way with how our carnal man sides with demons & the sin.

It takes an 'overhaul' to get out of that rut.  

Do not despair, cycles do take some reprogramming, re-training and actively exercising and walking it out in conforming to Christ Jesus.  Even Paul attests:

"For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate." Romans 7:15

Instead of believing the lie (looking at those begging eyes), you stand confidently and say 'No'… and side with the Word of truth.  If you fall, get back up and continue on.  Eventually, when the pet sin raises it's ugly head you will catch it sooner and sooner... you will go from walking 2 steps with it to immediately recognizing it's initial whimper and call it down.  And one day... you will confidently testify, minister and help others to be free in that area as well!

The Great Falling Away, No Match for Truth!

I received an email from a frazzled person worrying about mandatory RFID chip implants based on an internet hoax, and so I wanted to multiply my thoughts on the real roots of 'being ready' because there are many out there with the same concerns...

They sent a copy of the hoax with this:

"The Choice and the Chosen" by F1

"Oh my gosh.  I heard about this when I was a kid and my Dad read from the Bible.  Now is it coming--I hope not..."

My Thoughts:
No, always check on snopes or truthorfiction…. it's just more hype.  The great falling away will come first…once that happens people won't have faith in the scriptures anymore and then this stuff will be welcomed… esp. if there's terrorism, war or disaster to 'distract'.  The only way to ward off the love of many growing cold right now is by clean'in house (do that St. Augustine's guide)-- and this is essentially the *parable of the virgins (keeping the oil filled & the wicks trimmed) and by actually reading the Word of God.

In the Word is says "Faith comes by hearing & hearing by the WORD of God" - Romans 10:17…. so, the only way to grow in faith is by feeding on the Word.  That's what concerns me; it's imperitive that we all be READING it, because it says the delusion will be so strong…. if you don't make an effort to know Him, will He not say:  "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'" Matthew 7:23???

Having the baptism in the Holy Spirit is so very important because we need to hear God's 'Okay' on everything to be safe in the last days.

I have an example…. just recently, a person offered to help me in spreading my ministry.  Frankly, I've been praying for ministry help for years because it's exhausting sometimes… so it would SEEM an answer to prayer.

So when I prayed I heard God say 'the devil is in the details'.  Well, I sure saw no bad fruit from this person 'yet', so then I began to wonder (because of what my flesh wanted) "Did I hear God?" (hee hee, He tests those whom He loves)… 
Even with that mild plague of doubt I didn't consent to a "Yes, let's do this", but instead decided if the 'devil is in the details', that I would simply talk to this person & get to know them.  I resolved to go with what I 'heard'.

As I got to know them I began to see bad fruit, in that they harbored a spirit of 'fear'…and when I shared with them that, & that they needed to do some spiritual housecleaning to remove that fear…. they went ((nutzoid)) on me & not only was fear there, but pride & all sorts of nasties as they went from a 'God told me to help you' to a full blown attack on me.. 
[I still find it funny that if 'God told me to help you'… then why aren't they obedient to still do so? Suddenly, 'help' has been twisted to 'correct'.  (Pride says 'my way or the highway').]

So anyways…. I hear from God just fine & when the delusion comes in all it's good looking splendor…. I will only be listening to what the Holy Spirit says within, because you can bet it will appear all glorious & everything everyone wants… but the key is in what the Holy Spirit says about it.  If we can't hear God in the little day to day things… we aren't gaining the talents of the kingdom.  If we are instead burying them…

Matt. 25:29 "For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away."

…and that's why the great deception will be so great…we will have to go thru some ugly times, but that the spirit of God that's everywhere --His abiding grace-- will be removed as per this scripture:

2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 verses 6-8
"And now you know what is holding him (the "man of lawlessness") back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way (my interp. of --His abiding grace--). And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus Christ will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming."

….but --His abiding grace-- NOT removed from the ones that have the baptism in the Holy Spirit….because how else shall 'greater works than these' happen? No, I believe that when this happens, this will be fulfilled:

Matt. 25:29 "For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away."

Doesn't the great deception amidst the promise of 'greater works' make more sense now? 
* Isn't it interesting that the Parable of the Virgins appears right before the parable of the talents?
Do you realize what this is really saying?----->  A great exchange is about to happen!

The question is.... are you ready?

"...because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." 2 Thess. 2:10b-12

Wielding the Word as a Sword - Spiritual Tips 8

What I want to share here today is how to make your own dynamite prayers that are tailored to your situation and better than that... contain power because you allow the Holy Spirit to guide them.

Hi Freedom 1, hearingGod.tv. I just wanted to do a short video so you can learn to use the Word of God like a sword for any circumstance in your life.

Have you ever been passed a prayer that was dynamite? Have you ever been passed one that was 'wow' to your friend, but you didn't get anything out of it? Why?

I want to encourage you to get out of the mode of searching for the 'perfect pill' of a prayer that somebody else has made that worked great for their own specific needs. You have specific needs too. Those times that a prayer is powerful for you are because it lines up with what the Holy Spirit is doing for, in and through you already.

But isn't that like putting a puzzle together? You put all the edge pieces at the perimeter... all the tree pieces in this pile.... the fence pieces in this pile... So, that prayer you may have been passed that was good, may have been in the section you' were working on, but wouldn't you always like to hit the right piece every time?

You spend time with God in prayer, well what have you two been talking about? Let me share something I did...

I was coming under attack by the enemy. I began to ask the Lord to protect me and my family. I know that I need to stand on the promises of protection in the Word of God. So I need to focus on scriptures about 'Protection'. Why focus? Because our authority increases when we believe what we profess.

So I'm using a Topical Bible to hone in on verses about 'Protection'. As I'm reading through them, I'm noting verses that are really speaking to me... and they are speaking to me with that welling conformation in my spirit because it is the Holy Spirit showing me the weapons I need.

The verses noted were:
Psalm 145:20
"The LORD keeps all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy."

Psalm 37:17
"For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the LORD sustains the righteous."

Revelations 3:10
"Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth."

Deuteronomy 33:27
"The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, 'Destroy!'"

Each one of these verses has powerful truth for my situation, but now I'm going to personalize it so I can speak it for myself.

As I meditated upon the scriptures, I kept seeing the enemy's arms/hands being smashed off, so in putting it all together, this is the Holy Spirit-guided prayer I came up with:

Lord God, I thank you for Your hand upon our household of faith, all we set our hands to and those in our sphere of influence.
Almighty God, through the power of Your Son, Jesus' shed blood, I command that the arms of the enemy be broken and utterly destroyed, for You preserve and uphold us-- the righteous that trust in You.
I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen

Short, sweet and powerful for our need at that time. We all came into agreement and prayed that prayer together as a family. And as a family, we overcame.

Safety in a Multitude of Counselors

Proverbs 11:14 - "In a multitude of counselors there is safety"
The church group I used to hang out with was split all up because the deeper you go into the spirit...the more junk gets purged from your soul & if you hang onto what God hates...the devil steps in under the appearance of God & feeds your flesh.  If you don't line everything up to the word of God as the measuring rod, you can go astray. 

So what happened with our church group stuff...was the group leader was secretly getting people into african money scams that she was deceived into believing were real.  Sure, she had the intent of using some of the money for Godly purposes...but she did everything in secret & didn't counsel with others who would've told her it was a scam...all because she had a root of greed she would not let go of and the devil had a hay-day with her.  Then, after it was exposed she turned and attacked everyone that she should've counseled with....also remember the bible talks about 'you will know them by their fruits'.  So, this was the proof of her 'bad fruit'...her pride, her deception.  She had been listening to the devils voice & bated by a root of greed for so long that she turned to attack instead of accept reprove, correction or anything that would align with the bible.

"George" read an Anne Rice book and the idea in there sounds very reasonable as well but then it makes me question the devil's 'job'. It was that the bad people that go to hell basically go to 'school' to learn about what they did to everyone else that made them go to hell. Then after all of the years going to Satan School if they learned from their mistakes God would accept them. Now that sounds right and makes sense except for one thing....if the devil is helping out then why the hell does everyone say that the devil wants to pull you in and he's bad and everything? I don't get it! Basically bad people go to satan and good people go to hell but what does satan have to do with anything? He sound to me like a disciplinarian. Is that bad? I don't know anymore....Please tell me what it all means.

The only way to know God's opinion about stuff is in the bible. Any other
interpretation of anything biblical is subject to demonic
influence...that goes with Anne Rice stuff...that even goes with a pastor preaching at the pulpit. It's because

man is a filter. God teaches me the greatest things when

I simply ask Him 'what's up with this or that?' --
and then ask Him to reveal the answers to me through the bible. Then
sometimes I still don't 'get it', with what He's saying in the
bible...but that's where the Holy Spirit comes in & shows me the
answer through dropping stuff in my path through everyday life &
songs & things. But the bible is always the source. Even looking up
stuff on the internet & typing in the subject of my question & then
adding the word 'scripture' ...I come across all kinds of bible
'teachings' that are 'false'. It's like; so what....add some
scripture to a bogus teaching that's full of evil, and people believe
it's 'accurate'. I can spot these things because of the Holy Spirit
confirming it within me. That's why the baptism of the Holy Spirit is
important...because it's inviting God inside to teach you. Occult
people invite the demonic spirits inside themselves to learn hidden
things...the baptism of the spirit is the opposite. It's really
simple...the problem is, is that the devil sneaks into the teachings
of man & perverts everything so it brings tons of confusion & twists
things to get man to attack religion & use religion as a weapon.
That's why the bible is so important, because it's not tainted.
(Granted there are some versions of the bible that have been
manipulated & the meanings changed a bit--most of those
have been widely exposed), but even with that,... with the
Holy Spirit inside...God shows us when something is false &
encourages us to look for the good signs or 'fruits' that prove it's
worth.

So...like I suggested before...start with the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke &
John) & then go through to the end of the book. Then, begin to ask God
where to read...even flip thru the pages & point your finger with your
eyes shut. If you really want to know...He'll reveal stuff to
you...and sometimes in the most amazing ways. He's even put
reflections of a heart on the wall for me when I've been sad. Other
people might think it was a coincidence, but because I was praying &
asking for help...the meaning was clear to me.

Gaining Faith by Believing the Word of God

How do you use the shield of faith, is there a prayer?? I could really use this!! Did 'Linda' tell you about the horrible thoughts that run through my head or was this voice just from me???

Yes, these thoughts are not from you...think about it, the bible says :
Romans 8
1"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

So, these thoughts you have are awful, they are condemning...you hate them...you think they are you & therefore you think you are a bad person....but that is not the case. You need to have FAITH (which you know)...and the bible says:
Romans 10:17
17"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ."

So the 'word' of Christ is the bible. You HAVE to read the bible to make it through this. Do not rely on the counsel of anyone that doesn't read it regularly. I love 'Linda' but she doesn't read it. People that don't 'know' Jesus inside & out can be baited by the enemy and say things like: "God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You."
However we don't want our flesh patted... we need His truth, not to stumble!
"But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's."

Unfortunately for 'Bob's' aunt...she became another victim of 'the voices'. When a person believes it is themselves, they become a puppet. Columbine, Virginia tech....demon possessed people--yes there were christians there in the region but, remember I said there are a lot of 'churches' out there....but they have no authority in the spirit. How do we know? By the fruits. Are they doing what the disciples did... the things that Jesus said would accompany those who believe? (Mark 16-17)
When you read the word, believe the word...you can do the same amazing things Jesus did, and more:
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father." (John 14:12)

Why don't we SEE these amazing things??? Because people don't BELIEVE....are listening to 'the voices'. Disaster & all sorts of stuff is averted by 'sons of God'....those wielding the authority of Christ (check out Luke 9).

It all starts in the mind....
