Wielding the Word as a Sword - Spiritual Tips 8

What I want to share here today is how to make your own dynamite prayers that are tailored to your situation and better than that... contain power because you allow the Holy Spirit to guide them.

Hi Freedom 1, hearingGod.tv. I just wanted to do a short video so you can learn to use the Word of God like a sword for any circumstance in your life.

Have you ever been passed a prayer that was dynamite? Have you ever been passed one that was 'wow' to your friend, but you didn't get anything out of it? Why?

I want to encourage you to get out of the mode of searching for the 'perfect pill' of a prayer that somebody else has made that worked great for their own specific needs. You have specific needs too. Those times that a prayer is powerful for you are because it lines up with what the Holy Spirit is doing for, in and through you already.

But isn't that like putting a puzzle together? You put all the edge pieces at the perimeter... all the tree pieces in this pile.... the fence pieces in this pile... So, that prayer you may have been passed that was good, may have been in the section you' were working on, but wouldn't you always like to hit the right piece every time?

You spend time with God in prayer, well what have you two been talking about? Let me share something I did...

I was coming under attack by the enemy. I began to ask the Lord to protect me and my family. I know that I need to stand on the promises of protection in the Word of God. So I need to focus on scriptures about 'Protection'. Why focus? Because our authority increases when we believe what we profess.

So I'm using a Topical Bible to hone in on verses about 'Protection'. As I'm reading through them, I'm noting verses that are really speaking to me... and they are speaking to me with that welling conformation in my spirit because it is the Holy Spirit showing me the weapons I need.

The verses noted were:
Psalm 145:20
"The LORD keeps all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy."

Psalm 37:17
"For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the LORD sustains the righteous."

Revelations 3:10
"Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth."

Deuteronomy 33:27
"The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, 'Destroy!'"

Each one of these verses has powerful truth for my situation, but now I'm going to personalize it so I can speak it for myself.

As I meditated upon the scriptures, I kept seeing the enemy's arms/hands being smashed off, so in putting it all together, this is the Holy Spirit-guided prayer I came up with:

Lord God, I thank you for Your hand upon our household of faith, all we set our hands to and those in our sphere of influence.
Almighty God, through the power of Your Son, Jesus' shed blood, I command that the arms of the enemy be broken and utterly destroyed, for You preserve and uphold us-- the righteous that trust in You.
I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen

Short, sweet and powerful for our need at that time. We all came into agreement and prayed that prayer together as a family. And as a family, we overcame.

Spiritual Warfare

What is Spiritual Warfare, why do we need it?  Why would Jesus tell us to bind and loose if He took care of it all at the cross?  I'll be sharing the importance of the application... the appropriation for what Jesus did here on this episode of hearingGod.

Spiritual warfare is the next step for a spirit-filled, born again overcomer.  It is one thing to believe the promises of God, but an overcomer steps into the ministry of Jesus... doing what He did, and even 'greater works than these'.

Spiritual warfare is simply the implementation or the applying of the blood of Jesus, and the application, with authority, regarding of the word of God.  It is you saying 'I only do what I see the Father doing'.  It is NOT in running around picking fights with the devil... which is a dangerous contrivance of the flesh.  If God doesn't lead, you will not succeed!

A spiritual warrior realizes what this statement means:  "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do".   That we war not against flesh and blood, but powers and principalities... that evil spirits influence people, cities and nations... and that we, in the power of His blood, have His authority to bind the demonic from operating, and loose the things that align with the Spirit of God here on earth.

When a person can understand that humans are influenced by spirits, fear can be overcome.  "What can man do to me?" (Psa 56:11, Psa 118:6)   This of course does not make us 'above the law' of common sense... If we stray away from seeking His will and in doing only what we see the Father doing... we will reap the consequences of presumption.

I have an experience to share...
I don't have the luxury of getting out much, so when a co-worker of my husband  offered to babysit and paid for our dinner, we were elated.  We went out & had a blast.  The next day my younger son was telling me how the co-worker kept badgering my older son about getting a girlfriend.

Whoops!   Maybe we were a little too excited to get out of the house in that we forgot to do some spiritual house-cleaning before we left the kids with this co-worker.  And this is part of spiritual warfare... realizing that we cannot allow presumption to reign over our actions.  True, the person isn't like a child molester or anything... but all people are eligible to be influenced by spirits.  Presumption was to let this guy watch our kids and trust that everything would just turn out fine, but as a spiritual warrior we must 'know better'-- we have to first seek God's plan... not our selfish desire to get out of the house and have a nice dinner.

So in seeking God about it, I was led into a teaching moment with our children.  I was able to instruct them about what the bible says, and then set that next to the visible behavior of the co-worker, the inordinate fascination with women or a spirit of 'lust', so they could see that it was a spiritual issue.  I was able to explain the difference between being able to cast a spirit out vs. binding the spirit, because if a spirit is welcome... it's their choice.... we cannot make it for them.  BUT, we do have authority to bind and loose!  So I was able to equip my kids that if in a situation where they recognize a spirit beginning to manifest... how they can deal with it, by binding it from operation.

Think of the foreign countries that hand the kids a rifle and put them on the line... on the same token, don't you dismiss the power of a praying child for one moment... you need to teach them how to overcome-- how to be that arrow in your quiver.  This is important... Mom & Dad aren't always going to catch everything.

So can you see the spiritual warfare in all of this?  We can't bury our heads in the sand and go into fear living in the world... we have to believe that we are above only and never beneath. (Deu 28:13)

What about things bigger than spiritual influences on people?  Do you cry out over the abominations in the land? (Eze 9:4 ) Do you know you can make a difference?
Deu 11:24 "Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours..."
When you see areas of depravity in your city or neighborhood, it is the physical sign of a spiritual problem.

And, I want to give some credence to the term "territorial spirits"....Even in the Word we see clearly that the demonic can set in some tent pegs in a locale and reek all sorts of havoc.  In Daniel 10:13 we see that principalities rule territorially, because of the tell-tale kingship title:  "But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days.  Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia."

What gives that prince and power of the air more authority to hold the people in bondage even more?....What people welcome, is welcomed...if they dive into sin, and lose their conscience and openly embrace evil... evil is what will reign.  But God raises a standard. (“When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall raise a standard against him” Isaiah 59:19.)

Again, if you are sighing & crying... it's perhaps because God is raising you up.  So let's talk strategy.  Prayer walking, or prayer driving is a way to bring in the Spirit of God to (Psa 110:1)"...make thine enemies thy footstool."  Again, this is taking the Word of God to heart... believing it and implementing it.     Does this mean to abandon all common sense and go walking in the darkest part of town?  No, again... if you ask, Yeshua you'll find out what to do.

My husband and I have amazing testimony of psychic shops and hidden prostitution rings shutting down because of the burden we had in our locale.  We've prayer-walked New Age fairs and witchcraft purveyors finding their hocus pocus to naught for the day, including tibetan 'art' ceremonies that openly boast that they invoke a deity or deities----hmmm, a 'gate of hell', perhaps?

Even my young son can praise Jesus because one day he and Dad were led to prayer walk a different area (at my son's leading) and they found out the next day, that in that area they walked, a child on a bike was hit with a car, but no bad came of it.  My son marveled... in that the enemy desired to shed innocent blood, but by the simple prayer of this little one HE heard and dispatched His angels!

Binding and loosing... you betcha.... you are the living ark of the covenant, the Holy fire-bottle of the presence of God.  You are all about what the 'gap' needs to be filled with to bridge the Spirit of God across. (Eze 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.)

What about things even bigger than what I'd call 'territorial deliverance'?  What about 'the nation' or nations, or people groups that need to be free?  If the Lord puts a burden on your heart... go to your prayer closet and pray and ask God.  I believe there are a great many of intercessors and prophets out there that aren't blossoming their gift because they are waiting on their church or prayer circle of friends to feel that burden or because of that burden are ignored or chastised.  I tell you to go to that place in secret and pray, and be obedient.  Do as the Father leads because those around you may never 'get it'.

We are not in happy club-mode people... to serve Him is not the popular thing because man likes to get the credit.  God is looking for warriors with hearts completely sold out to Him... ones that sigh and cry, ones that care for all mankind... not just the ones that we like.  We need to be in get-as-close-to-Elohim-as-possible, mode!

Escaping the Pressure

Escaping the Pressure

When you walk in being an overcomer life radically changes.  You begin to be challenged on every front. The pressure builds not only from the enemy, but God's purifying fire as well, because it's how we escape the pressure that determines our 'peace' in Him.

What is this pressure that we have to endure?!  You know what I'm talking about... the financial leaps of faith, the physical attacks on our bodies, any relationships we have... absolutely everything needs covered in prayer now.  You find yourself repeating that line from the 'matrix' saying "Why, why didn't I take the blue pill?"  At times the intensity so great and no 'seasons of refreshing' in sight...we long to escape the pressure.

This is for all of you out there actively taking authority over every principality and power for the Lord Jesus Christ.  If you're not slamming this stuff at His direction beneath His footstool, this program isn't for you...you just won't understand.  If I could write the day to day details of my life...doing all the mundane requirements of life, the prayer shielding, caring for my family, the targets that the Lord has shown me to hit, the dominions I'm in the process of taking, the spiritual battles in the night and seeking the Lord in His word and finding the quiet time alone with Him Alone.... it could make a good tv mini series.

As you go on deeper with God more is required of you.  Your life must become like that Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail movie....where Indy was standing at that precipice... having done all things...with nothing left to do except for trusting what the instruction hint was... to go out in Faith.  And also notice in that movie that the whole while the enemy was right next to him... that's how it is for us.  Each step of the way the pressure is right there and we are called to live by faith in the word.

I want to go deeper now in illustrating this whole pressure and escapism thing, because it'll really get you to evaluate some of these weak points in your own life.

I'm gonna use the example of alcohol for this visual, but you need to take the precepts behind it to examine your own escapism.

So the spiritual dynamics behind this is like a bully tactic mentality.  The enemy turns the pressure on so hot and all day long we just war it half-butted because we're just tired of it all...day in, day out.  By the end of the day we just had enough & would just prefer to ignore it...but that's the thing...you drink a little & then the enemy eases off because the goal is to train you like a rat to always go to the bottle for relief.  Instead we're supposed do what I have to do with my son.  With my son, I just drop EvErYthing and focus on him alone....so that's what we have to do with the enemy & hit the bully back....make him pay and hold the ground.  Remember the movie "Back to the Future"?  Marty's dad, George, was under the bondage of that bully... but then in that future altering moment.. when He socked the bully... Marty's whole universe changed. Wine is still good, so long as it doesn't become a crutch...so long as it doesn't become an escape.  We have to recognize whatever is hounding us for what it is, scream "STOP" and then go to Jesus, not a bottle, not a bathroom, not the refrigerator... etc!  Decide that you are not going to be trained like a rat any longer.  Jesus wants you to come to Him.  He allows the enemy to sift you with this pressure to see what you'll do.  Can He really entrust you with more talents of the Kingdom?  Prove it!

Manifestation Power

A teaching for 'the remnant'...you know who you are!

It used to bug me when, some nights, I'd go to sleep and the fan blades would be in a perfect pentagram symbol over my head.  I'd stand up on the bed and give the blades a quarter-turn and then blame the devil for doing that on purpose.  After a while of doing this (and despising the chore itself) God began to teach me how silly this routine was, how powerful He is...and how that same power we have access to....that manifestation power granted to us through Jesus can be be maligned by the enemy to work against us.

See, there's no power in that fan-shape configuration....I believed a lie the enemy was whispering & allowed fear to come in...I granted him that access to have power when I agreed with the fear he was dishing out.  And in agreeing with anything the devil dishes out...you might as well be handing him the keys to the convertible.

A few years ago I found out that church steeples were actually birthed from pagan  buildings that converted to churches.  The steeple itself actually representing a phallic symbol!  Does that make all churches bearing that evil?  Again, silliness!

And recently, over the internet, I see people arguing what the 'proper' name for God is....and that if you don't say it 'right' your 'god' is the devil.  How nuts is that?

What about children celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and calling it 'Easter'?  Why condemn?  Does it really matter if it's called the feast of blah, blah...isn't what God does is look upon the heart of man?   I just find it amazing how this legalistic spirit invades the body of Christ.  That's what it is folks....it's a 'spirit', and let me tell you....it's not of Him.

I'm not worried about anyone in the enemies camp, or people that just don't know Jesus, yet this legalistic spirit will damn you if you associate with such people, or even believers not of the same flock as yourself.  It's a spirit, that if you'd be wise and test....is one that robs your liberties and ices the heart afire for God--it's a freedom-robbing chant...that mantra of control, of bondage,  of condemnation.  It is the same choking spirit that ultimately murdered Jesus...yet people today do not take those scriptures of old and apply their precepts into life today.

We each have manifestation power through the power of our words.  Everyone on the planet has access to this whether chanting witches, buddhist monks or praying believers.  God created all things with the breath of His Word.  This has not passed away and whether we go through Jesus or we find some back door in accessing it, it is available to all.  What we believe, we achieve.  But what is the difference between non-believers and believers when it comes to manifestation power?  [sing] There's power in the name of Jesus!

Let us roll out the Enemy's Map...
Consider the military and it's operation...even in this recent event where the prisoners were freed from Bogata after 6 years of captivity.  How were they freed?  They were freed because the enemy forces were invaded undetected.  They were compromised.  So understand this spiritual war we are in.  In that opposite scenario, the enemy is invading the 'church' unnoticed & undetected.

How does the enemy mock God?  How does the enemy have the most damaging power? By taking anything of God's and perverting and possessing it.   In the camps of the enemy the premise is simple...get people whom have an anointing, professing the name of Jesus and walking in manifestation power...capture it and use it against the saints of the most high.  They ultimately shout "Kill Jesus!"

People that don't know Jesus....I love...the Word of God does not return void and if they are searching seed plants very easily....I am more concerned by people who profess Jesus as Lord....but have this religious spirit that comes in His name but is not at all.  It is a religious spirit that is the worst thing out there.  It's the most dangerous of deceptions.  People trust in men that have been leavened by this cruel spirit, and no longer watch for good fruit...no longer seek the spirit of God in their prayer closets. They become a leavened mass of prayer against the true Spirit of God. Essentially witchery using the power in the name of Jesus.  Your false prophets and teachers warned about in the last days.

So the examples I gave in the very beginning are some of the triggers of a religious spirit....let's get back to identifying a religious spirit and the wool that it pulls over a believer's eyes.

In my very first examples, whether it's a shape, and image an event--It's not anything that God has created that is bad it's what has been perverted and by what power we attribute to them.  It's the same premise of scripture...for one man it's sin...to another it's not...if one BELIEVES the religious spirit, it IS under it's grip.  Jesus can only relieve your burdens as you surrender them.  Your own mind decides how far you will go on with God.

It's because we are alllll under a process of deprogramming, if you've been in or are in, a 'church of the box'.  We also all have inherited curses and demons with legal access from the sins of our forefathers that are continually surfaced.  And these are difficult if you've lived with them your whole life...you've never known freedom from them so you don't realize you are beneath them.  The blood of Jesus can only wash away what you allow it to...sure, salvation is secured but you control how many burdens you carry in this life.  When we've had such an access point for the enemy....think of it like a worn path or a door where the clasp isn't as secure....for those things we have to really come to the feet of Jesus constantly to help w/ that burden....it's familiar & we are too weak.

How can we know if we have a religious spirit or spirits?  The first thing to pay attention to, are your thoughts.  Have you had damning thoughts about this teaching or an overcast of negativity about it?   Did you know that not every thought is your own?  Your thought life is a war zone.  If you're severely agitated, that is good...we are uncovering something.  Remember...some of our access points are older then we are...if we've never looked outside of a cave to see there's a blue sky...everything within us will reject that the blue sky exists because we tend to believe only what we know.  Any spirit that has that worn path in our soul is going to fight with all it's got because it doesn't want to leave it's comfy home....so to plant thoughts of offense or any other odd thing to get you in accord to reject the blue sky is something you are charged to pay attention to.  Remember the enemy's map for perspective..

I have a basic test for you....would it offend you if i wrote merry x-mas instead of Christmas?....remember all the 'christian' uprising about people that use the 'x' =taking 'Christ' out of christmas...all birthed by a religious spirit, agreed upon by the brainwashed masses...God help the person that used it as shorthand...need i go on?  Really, it's ridiculous...the root is judgement...the telltale of a religious spirit. So if this whole x-mas thing offends it is a religious spirit.  Does the notion of 'speaking in tongues' offend you?  Same thing...believe me the bible is true in it's entirety, & the enemy wants you trapped in that cave.

This is a spirit that ignores and tramples the heart.  It instills fear.  It says if you don't wash your hands a certain way that you do not honor God.  Although it professes to 'honor God', it just puts you under a heavier & heavier yoke of oppression until you are so distanced from the unconditional love of Jesus, that you know not His heart.  And if you've joined in and echoed it's railing judgement against others...to other believers or non-believers pushing them away from His saving freedom...say a prayer with me right now.... [prayer]...end.
