"The Lord...visits the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation."(Exodus 34:6-7 / Deuteronomy 5:8-10)
A: The thing you have to understand is that sin creates a stain & Jesus is the only covering for it. If family willfully sinned in the past & never repented, the curse from sin passes on. As Christians, we use our authority to break these things in the name of Jesus & by His shed blood. Just because He died and we are "Christians", doesn't mean the stain is gone.... it has to be actively appropriated (definition: to take to or for oneself; take possession of)--the blood must be applied...
Think of the Israelites readying to escape the bondage of pharaoh. God commanded they kill a lamb and apply the blood over the door-frame so that the angel of death would see it and pass on. HE didn't say....'just kill the lamb', no, HE said the blood HAD to be over that door-frame (see Exodus 12). In every home that had no lamb's-blood over the door-frame, the eldest child perished.
Jesus told us: "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill." Matthew 5:17
When I read that passage I understand that the old cursings and blessings are still in effect... they haven't 'passed away'... everything must come under the submission of our Lord Jesus Christ and we are His vessels for AcTiOn!
We can see everything in the Bible is 'action-based'... the full armor of God listed in Ephesians 6.... it's active stuff.... 'take' and 'put on' are not relaxing do-nothing verbiage. LOL! This christian life is all about 'doing' & 'appropriating', whereas most of Christendom thinks, "I've made Jesus my Lord, and that's enuff." But I look at the promises in the Word and look at the world and cause and effect are plainly seen. If God promises abundant life and it's not happening, there must be a reason.... we know satan is beneath us, don't we???
Look at this interesting scripture from Psalm 110:1...
"The LORD says to my Lord: 'Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.'"
We get a picture of Jesus and God conversing. When Jesus ascended on high, He went to be seated at the right hand of the Father & this was just after giving his great commission mandate....
Mark 16:17-19 "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God."
How are the enemies of God made a footstool for His feet? By us taking our authority as believers! Appropriate what He purchased for us, there is Power in His name and Power in His shed blood!
I received an email from a frazzled person worrying about mandatory RFID chip implants based on an internet hoax, and so I wanted to multiply my thoughts on the real roots of 'being ready' because there are many out there with the same concerns... They sent a copy of the hoax with this:
"The Choice and the Chosen" by F1
"Oh my gosh. I heard about this when I was a kid and my Dad read from the Bible. Now is it coming--I hope not..."
My Thoughts:
No, always check on snopes or truthorfiction…. it's just more hype. The great falling away will come first…once that happens people won't have faith in the scriptures anymore and then this stuff will be welcomed… esp. if there's terrorism, war or disaster to 'distract'. The only way to ward off the love of many growing cold right now is by clean'in house (do that St. Augustine's guide)-- and this is essentially the *parable of the virgins (keeping the oil filled & the wicks trimmed) and by actually reading the Word of God.
In the Word is says "Faith comes by hearing & hearing by the WORD of God" - Romans 10:17…. so, the only way to grow in faith is by feeding on the Word. That's what concerns me; it's imperitive that we all be READING it, because it says the delusion will be so strong…. if you don't make an effort to know Him, will He not say: "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPARTFROMME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'" Matthew 7:23???
Having the baptism in the Holy Spirit is so very important because we need to hear God's 'Okay' on everything to be safe in the last days.
I have an example…. just recently, a person offered to help me in spreading my ministry. Frankly, I've been praying for ministry help for years because it's exhausting sometimes… so it would SEEM an answer to prayer.
So when I prayed I heard God say 'the devil is in the details'. Well, I sure saw no bad fruit from this person 'yet', so then I began to wonder (because of what my flesh wanted) "Did I hear God?" (hee hee, He tests those whom He loves)…
Even with that mild plague of doubt I didn't consent to a "Yes, let's do this", but instead decided if the 'devil is in the details', that I would simply talk to this person & get to know them. I resolved to go with what I 'heard'.
As I got to know them I began to see bad fruit, in that they harbored a spirit of 'fear'…and when I shared with them that, & that they needed to do some spiritual housecleaning to remove that fear…. they went ((nutzoid)) on me & not only was fear there, but pride & all sorts of nasties as they went from a 'God told me to help you' to a full blown attack on me.. [I still find it funny that if 'God told me to help you'… then why aren't they obedient to still do so? Suddenly, 'help' has been twisted to 'correct'. (Pride says 'my way or the highway').]
So anyways…. I hear from God just fine & when the delusion comes in all it's good looking splendor…. I will only be listening to what the Holy Spirit says within, because you can bet it will appear all glorious & everything everyone wants… but the key is in what the Holy Spirit says about it. If we can't hear God in the little day to day things… we aren't gaining the talents of the kingdom. If we are instead burying them…
Matt. 25:29 "For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away."
…and that's why the great deception will be so great…we will have to go thru some ugly times, but that the spirit of God that's everywhere --His abiding grace-- will be removed as per this scripture:
2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 verses 6-8
"And now you know what is holding him (the "man of lawlessness") back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way (my interp. of --His abiding grace--). And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus Christ will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming."
….but --His abiding grace-- NOT removed from the ones that have the baptism in the Holy Spirit….because how else shall 'greater works than these' happen? No, I believe that when this happens, this will be fulfilled:
Matt. 25:29 "For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away."
Doesn't the great deception amidst the promise of 'greater works' make more sense now?
* Isn't it interesting that the Parable of the Virgins appears right before the parable of the talents?
Do you realize what this is really saying?-----> A great exchange is about to happen!
The question is.... are you ready?
How important is it to be in the Word of God?
"...because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." 2 Thess. 2:10b-12
Q: "Jesus Died For All Are Sins, Right? Well what is this (referencing a video recording of a deliverance session in an institutional church), an official church healing a person that is possessed by a demon??? I thought Jesus Christ saved us, or is it some sort of money scam?"
A: Deliverance is a real ministry of Jesus that He taught us to do, just like healing....these that He performed within the 'church' of believers (first the body of Christ...but then to whomever also came to him) & this ministry hasn't passed away. In my Spiritual Housecleaning Series playlist, I give people understanding about it... and show how the enemy can gain access into our lives and then teach how we can be delivered from any access the enemy has. The original greek doesn't imply 'total possession' (as the KJV and many modern bibles seem to imply) when speaking about deliverance, but points to areas of access within our personality. And you can see this.... an angry man that continually belittles his wife all week long but professing Jesus and despite often repenting...the cycle continues..... why? He needs delivered. The same with people that exaggerate or tell lies.... ones that can't kick an addiction and so on.
In the video you showed me, they tied the person down as if they were strapped into an electric chair... and I don't agree with that (reminds me of the 7 sons of Sceva, LOL); for if we have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit(an event separate from water baptism & also separate from initial 'salvation in Jesus' experience), thus having the infilling of the Holy Spirit... then we don't need to strap people down etc. Although this stuff does work...because the name of Jesus is powerful, and binding and loosing are the 'how to do it' (remember the Word doesn't return void but the real key is do we have HIS authority?)..... if we surrender and allow the Holy Spirit to lead the deliverance.... they- (the accessing spirits), bow because of the authority we speak on Jesus' behalf.
It's sad because this was a HUGE ministry of Jesus that the 'church' at large has swept under the rug, and yet HE taught us what to do & never told us to stop...no, He said we'd do 'greater works than these'.
I share my personal deliverance experiences throughout the series. It's 12 vids... a lot to ask in watching them all, but if it bears in your spirit...do give them a try:
I really admire when people search and ask questions... because most only believe what they are church-fed. I encourage everyone to dig in to the Word FIRST (making Jesus as King--not a church institution) and then ask Jesus to guide to the answers. Even if you don't believe what I have to share, I am content in that testifying is enough because He does the rest. : )
We know we are told to desire greater ones (giftings). Is not a 'greater one' ANYTHING more than we currently have in our basket? HA!
I don't know what some people are thinking... that hearing the audible voice of God or seeing Him is the aim? That's the 'best' so forget about the rest? LOL. I don't know about you but I want it allll!!!! There's nothing too small to put under my belt. So many people just avoid the gift of tongues based on the scripture about prophesy being greater... and yet they don't understand that when we build upon the gift of tongues and move into interpretation...THAT IS PROPHESY!
Some people do have the gift of interpreting tongues... and you watch me interpreting mine as prophesy, but (confession) I don't flow in that actual interpretation gifting with others. (Whatttt? F1, I thought you were some super-duper holy person!) I've had people ask me if I could interpret their tongues & I've had to refer them to a person I know flows in it, because try as I might, I listen to them & get nothing. Is that gifting available to me? Yes it is, IF I earnestly pursue it... and I haven't! It's not honestly a burden for me. I am happy to flow in interpreting myself (prophesy)& to stop there. But, other giftings like healing or miracles... I DO want those badly! So I display that desire by stepping out to pray for people & situations that seem to be hopeless. I am pursuing what I really want : D
Fishes, not rocks... it's available & He places those desires within us. We are all part...there are many giftings. I liken it to different jobs... could we be a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a.....a..... a..... yes we could, but it takes a lot of study. Do we have time for everything? Well, we might pull it off, but perhaps not a brain surgeon, perhaps a little town lawyer, but not one vs. the supreme court...teaching nutrition perhaps, but not at Harvard.... that's why we see people gifted in certain areas... like deliverance or healing...and the people that sit under them begin to flow in those anointings as well. I don't say this to hinder giftings likened to the heights of a big time lawyer, doctor or teacher....LOL.... because we know even that IS possible IF we are faithful with the talents that we are given!
Mat 25:20-21 "The one who had received the five talents came up and
brought five more talents, saying, 'Master, you entrusted five talents
to me. See, I have gained five more talents.' His master said to him,
'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few
things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of
your master.'"
So we start off with those burdens He places within us & then we don't stop...we just keep on going...being led of His spirit seeing every situation as an opportunity to shine as His beacon : D
Praise God... teaching is one of my giftings wooo hooo! I pray this has blessed you... now get real with what He's placed upon your heart and fill that basket up!
With open-air witchcraft gaining results that are the counterfeit of the Christian promise of 'Greater Works'... are you paying attention church?
How do we snap out of it? How do we move off our butts into the promise?
Scriptures:
Rev 13:15
"And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed."
Jam 1:25 "But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does."
Mark 16:17-18 "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name . . .
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
James 5:16 "..the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
Matthew 25 *The Parable of the Talents
"You are from God, little children,
and have overcome them;
because greater is He who is
in you than he who
is in the world."
1 John 4:4
1. belt of truth...
(In bible days the guys wore the dress-type garb... so anytime they'd get ready to do big labor, they'd gather up the loose-hanging parts above their knees, fastening it to belt around their waist.---so 'gird up your loins')
So too, we must gather up and fasten anything up; anything potentially impeding our freedom to follow Jesus when we are getting ready to 'dig in'. Where do we find truth? The bible, of course.
2. breastplate of righteousness...
The breastplate covers the heart... more than 'righteous acts'... even sinners can do those... but it's a condition of the heart...sincerity to seek to be holy as He is holy.
3. shoes of peace...
We know we must bear good fruit in being peaceable...in turning the cheek... but we must also be willing to MOVE (shoes) when He impresses us to share the gospel. This speaks of obedience.
4. shield of faith...
You want the shield? You get your 'faith on'. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God... nuff said.
5. helmet of salvation...
Doing what the Word says.... 'taking every thought captive'. Helmet is also called 'the hope of salvation' (1 Thes. 5:8)-- so a consistent and positive hope...in the Word of God, of course. Love hopes all things, believes all things...love never fails...
6. sword of spirit - word of God...
Version used for 'word' is 'rhema' in the greek= 'spoken word'. So, actively using it when attacks come.
-------------------
Many people promote suiting up with an 'Armor of God' prayer every day, but we have to be careful that it doesn't turn into a nice 'magic pill' prayer, LOL. Again, I'm emphasizing a lifestyle of change and conformity over rote prayers!
... But really... if we're sincerely seeking God... and realizing that He said it's simple, in that a child could 'get it', we just need to pray earnestly, get in His Word and have relationship with Him... and as we do those basic foundational things... we begin to change and conform to His image.
I look at each one above and it simplifies as such:
1. Get in the Word,
2. Seek earnestly to be holy,
3. Be obedient,
4. Trust/faith makes us stand firm,
5. No matter how things appear, or what we are told...we will believe the Word above all,
6. If everything above is in motion...we confidently can speak the Word and just like Jesus speaking it to shut satan down in the desert, suddenly we move from defense to offense.
See how it is kind of a process as well? Some people only go so far... only read the Word, but don't desire to commune with God... so when trial comes they can't hold the shield up because they don't 'trust', and so on...
We need to make it all a lifestyle... if any part is missing we aren't effective because there is a measure of 'fear' of potential wounding there---fear of defeat. But, having it all with the sword, we actually advance! The ones that are properly equipped in all this are the ones that shall 'do greater works than these'!!
Are You excited??? !!!
I think the era
for debating anything is over because the time of the gentiles has been
fulfilled.... and because of that..."They will not teach again, each man
his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for
they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of
them,'..." Jer. 31:34/Hebrews 8:8-12
Just like my gray hair… there are times and seasons for everything…. ages, if you will.
In 1964 the big bang theory
was solidified by proof through Cosmic microwave background radiation;
whereby before that point, atheists pushed that the universe was
infinite. With this discovery of a starting point that mirrored the
Word of God…. with the fulfillment of the Age of the Gentiles just 3
years later… are we paying attention to the times?
"And they shall not teach
every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the
Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest...." (Hbr
8:11)
What are many doing still trying to prove God with words then?
Proverbs 9:7-8 "Whoever corrects a mocker is asking for insult; whoever reproves a
wicked person receives abuse.
Do not reprove a mocker or he will hate you; reprove a wise person
and he will love you."
Perhaps asking for abuse?
No, I believe that it's not
about proving anything with arguments anymore... now is the time to
manifest the word and make it become flesh by 'doing greater works than
these'…as He promised we ARE to do.
"I
tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been
doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to
the Father." (John 14:12)
Think about it… if we lay
hands on a sick unbeliever and they are healed …and we share with them
by whom they are healed in power and demonstration in the name of
Jesus... what is going to speak louder?
One of my favorite quotes: "Preach the gospel at all times -- If necessary, use words."
-- Saint Francis of Assisi
How to we get to a point of
'greater works'? Do we believe the entire bible or have we allowed the
salad-bar mentality of the age to pervade our understanding?
In 1 Corinthians (12:4-11)
Saint Paul speaks of gifts of the Spirit. He even mentions twice that
these different giftings are "THE SAME SPIRIT".
•words of wisdom
•words of knowledge
•faith
•healing
•miracle-working
•prophecy
•distinguishing of spirits
•tongues
•interpretation of tongues
These things have not
passed away. How many churches have decided that everything but 'faith'
has passed away because everything else seems uncomfortable to them?
If they are 'bad' or passed away, then you had better throw out faith as
well… but I ask you again…. where do greater works come from-- these
works that will bring our Jewish brothers and sisters to the revelation
of Jesus…Yeshua, the Messiah?
Romans
11:11 "I say then have they (the Jews) stumbled that they should fall?
God forbid; but rather through their fall salvation is come unto
Gentiles, for TO PROVOKE THEM TO JEALOUSY."
I'm going to tell you right
now that each of these giftings are very alive and well and if you do
not eagerly desire them, or if you believe but do not exercise them… you
better have paid attention to the scripture of the 'talents' (Matthew
25:14-30; Luke 19:12-28) because you either use it, or you lose it.
I have heard a story of a man that earnestly desired the gift of tongues, and it took him 18 months before he received it...
1 Corinthians 12:31 "But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way."
...You better believe most
of that time was spent reprogramming from believing 'Oh, tongues aren't
for everybody'. People… deprogram! Get away from the lies of satan
and the disbelief of man.
"Ask,
and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened to you. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who
seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. "Or what man is
there among you, when his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a
stone? "Or if he shall ask for a fish, he will not give him a snake,
will he? "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is
good to those who ask Him!" Matthew 7:7-11
Take off the Rose-colored glasses!
Dude… My Mom & Dad say it's fake…
Dude… my church doesn't do that stuff….
Dude… my pastor says that's all passed away
Dude (*eureka!)… it's right here in the Word of God… why didn't I ever see this before?
These gifts are for everybody… how bad do you want it bride?
Are you going to listen to
man or are you going to sit at the feet of Jesus and learn like Mary
did. Or, are you going to continue to run around and do a 'good thing'
by defending God with your words like a Martha? Are you going to do the
better thing?
The young rich ruler came
to Jesus and asked, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" How did
Jesus answer him? He said "You know the commandments…"
How many of you 'know' the
Word of God like the young rich ruler did… but Jesus is asking you to
drop everything…. all those mindsets and not follow doctrines of men.
"Get rid of it all and follow Me", He says. "Taste and See", He is
saying in this hour… but people will not take those glasses off. They
are not hungry for 'greater works'… in fact the enemy has pelted them
with the phrase 'lying signs and wonders' so much, that they are afraid
of anything supernatural. They have been programed not to "Prove all
things; hold fast that which is good." [1 Thessalonians 5:21] People
would rather attack me for taking the rich young ruler story out of it's
financial context than to understand that He gave me this scripture to
speak to apologists out there… that it's time to go deeper.
Is apologetics dead? God
gave me an example…. you know those 'snuggie blankets'? Well, by the
end of last year, everyone was getting them… they are still all the rage
because now you can find them cheaper & all over the place… but
like any fad… once the market is saturated, then it will decline unless
it changes with the times. Sure… be a defense for God, but picking
stupid fights instead of growing in the anointing to say, "God is real,
let me show you with His tangible presence, because I am a living ark of
the covenant" --now that is the evolution of apologetics.
Remember my gray hair? I
am changing and there's nothing I can do about it. "Color it", you say…
a person can only hide 'the truth' for so long, but God not only knows
how many hairs are upon my head, but there is no hiding the truth from
Him. God says 'greater works', and people, there is something you can
do about it.
In Zechariah 14 it says all
will keep the feast of tabernacles "or else"… this hasn't happened
yet, but do you see that we need to begin to step inline with where God
is going? Believing His word and what He says, and therefore conforming
to it. Do something about it!
Let me pray for you…
