A Testimony on Receiving the Gift of Tongues

Receiving and flowing in the Gift of Tongues is all about taking thoughts captive, worshipping God, and Faith in the truth of the Word of God.  If you've been struggling to manifest this gifting, the following testimony may give you a boost to keep going.  

It's a beautiful thing to mentor… and after E.J. got his breakthrough in confidently flowing in the gift of tongues, I asked him if he'd testify about it to bless others that are desiring the promise as well.  He welcomed the chance…  BE BLESSED!

Well it all started like this. Actually I've been praying about it for three years to be exact because now its 2015. In all this time I hadn't received it (gift of tongues). So I stopped praying about it. Until this past October/November I just got interested again.  I prayed and prayed but I didn't receive it. 

In December I got really desperate, and so hungry about it, so I did a lot of research about how to get it/what to do in order to get it, etc. I watched a lot of videos on YouTube about speaking in tongues. I discovered that we should move our mouth when we ask for it. Honestly, I prayed to receive it for almost a week, and then out of nowhere, I just wanted to try it. ---And it happened! BUT, the enemy came and told me it was fake, and also tried to make me think it was counterfeit tongues. Then I saw your video, and messaged you about this struggle, and knew to not give up; building my faith. 

On January 2, in the afternoon… I was watching more videos and wanted to try it again because I got really tired of the enemy telling me its not real. So I went to my room. I sat there and just praised God and worshiped Him and really concentrated on HIM.  I just kept saying Hallelujah over and over again until my tongue started to get kind of tied-up-feeling, and the Holy Spirit told me to, "Loosen up. Let it flow".  

Then I just started speaking-- with the enemy continuing to attack, but I didn't listen to him. I just continued speaking and just let go and let it flow until I began to feel the warmth of the Holy Spirit. I began worshiping Him even more and got on my knees and with my hands up, praised Him and just prayed and prayed. I Spoke and spoke until I got so comfortable and felt so free, then I paused for a while. There was this feeling inside of me to speak more. So just couldn't control myself and prayed in tongues again.  I came to a place where I felt so loved and peaceful and ended up crying, all the while still speaking in tongues.  

I actually prayed in tongues for about 5 hours with small breaks, because I just couldn't help myself, I just let it flow even more. I felt so happy. 

The feeling at first, when I was new with it, was very strange. There was the enemy who just kept telling me that it is fake and I was making it up; trying to make me think it was counterfeit tongues. So I felt very frustrated and doubtful and I couldn't sleep for days.  I had to know more and more on how to truly receive it.  

I didn't give up. I just kept praying, until I 'got it'.  I just let it flow and I fought the feeling of doubt and just went with the flow. And there it was, I had the breakthrough. FAITH is how I got the gift. Its because of Faith. :)))

Is Deliverance a Scam?

Q: "Jesus Died For All Are Sins, Right? Well what is this (referencing a video recording of a deliverance session in an institutional church), an official church healing a person that is possessed by a demon??? I thought Jesus Christ saved us, or is it some sort of money scam?" 

 A: Deliverance is a real ministry of Jesus that He taught us to do, just like healing....these that He performed within the 'church' of believers (first the body of Christ...but then to whomever also came to him) & this ministry hasn't passed away. In my Spiritual Housecleaning Series playlist, I give people understanding about it... and show how the enemy can gain access into our lives and then teach how we can be delivered from any access the enemy has. The original greek doesn't imply 'total possession' (as the KJV and many modern bibles seem to imply) when speaking about deliverance, but points to areas of access within our personality. And you can see this.... an angry man that continually belittles his wife all week long but professing Jesus and despite often repenting...the cycle continues..... why? He needs delivered. The same with people that exaggerate or tell lies.... ones that can't kick an addiction and so on. 

In the video you showed me, they tied the person down as if they were strapped into an electric chair... and I don't agree with that (reminds me of the 7 sons of Sceva, LOL); for if we have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit (an event separate from water baptism & also separate from initial 'salvation in Jesus' experience), thus having the infilling of the Holy Spirit... then we don't need to strap people down etc. Although this stuff does work...because the name of Jesus is powerful, and binding and loosing are the 'how to do it' (remember the Word doesn't return void but the real key is do we have HIS authority?)..... if we surrender and allow the Holy Spirit to lead the deliverance.... they- (the accessing spirits), bow because of the authority we speak on Jesus' behalf. 

It's sad because this was a HUGE ministry of Jesus that the 'church' at large has swept under the rug, and yet HE taught us what to do & never told us to stop...no, He said we'd do 'greater works than these'.

I really admire when people search and ask questions... because most only believe what they are church-fed. I encourage everyone to dig in to the Word FIRST (making Jesus as King--not a church institution) and then ask Jesus to guide to the answers. Even if you don't believe what I have to share, I am content in that testifying is enough because He does the rest. : )

Born Again in the Holy Spirit - Spiritual Housecleaning

You may have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, but have you asked for the baptism in the Holy Spirit? "What?", you say, "You mean they aren't the same thing?"
No, they are not.

Continuing on this journey of Spiritual Housecleaning...
In my last video, I got you all hyped up about removing any spiritual invaders that might be oppressing you... and we'll get to it... but first we have to be sure that we are not only 'saved' but born again in the Holy Spirit.

In Luke 11:24-26 We can see how very important that it is to have our temple not only free of invaders but that we don't want the possibility of a far worse situation because that spirit came back to an unoccupied place. No, we want the Spirit of God filling up every pore of our being.

["When the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding any, it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when it comes, it finds it swept and put in order.
Then it goes and takes along seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first." Luke 11:24-26]

The rest of this series is all about removing the invaders, shutting the doors and then replacing what was once enemy occupation with more of the Spirit of God.

Help in receiving the Gift of Tongues

Are you earnestly seeking the Gift of Tongues but it hasn't happened for you yet? I share a bit on taking our thoughts captive, claiming the gift prophetically and mention the most common 'road block' against receiving tongues... as well as pray in tongues and impart activation of the gift in you.
