Gaining Faith by Believing the Word of God

Seeking Christian's Letter:
How do you use the shield of faith, is there a prayer?? I could really use this!! Did 'Linda' tell you about the horrible thoughts that run through my head or was this voice just from me???
fyi 'Bob's' aunt comitted suicide today :'(

hearingGod's Reply Letter:

Yes, these thoughts are not from you...think about it, the bible says :
Romans 8
1"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

So, these thoughts you have are awful, they are condemning...you hate them...you think they are you & therefore you think you are a bad person....but that is not the case. You need to have FAITH (which you know)...and the bible says:
Romans 10:17
17"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ."

So the 'word' of Christ is the bible. You HAVE to read the bible to make it through this. Do not rely on the counsel of anyone that doesn't read it regularly. I love 'Linda' but she doesn't read it. People that don't 'know' Jesus inside & out can be baited by the enemy and say things like: "God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You."
However we don't want our flesh patted... we need His truth, not to stumble!
"But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's."

Unfortunately for 'Bob's' aunt...she became another victim of 'the voices'. When a person believes it is themselves, they become a puppet. Columbine, Virginia tech....demon possessed people--yes there were christians there in the region but, remember I said there are a lot of 'churches' out there....but they have no authority in the spirit. How do we know? By the fruits. Are they doing what the disciples did... the things that Jesus said would accompany those who believe? (Mark 16-17)
When you read the word, believe the word...you can do the same amazing things Jesus did, and more:
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father." (John 14:12)

Why don't we SEE these amazing things??? Because people don't BELIEVE....are listening to 'the voices'. Disaster & all sorts of stuff is averted by 'sons of God'....those wielding the authority of Christ (check out Luke 9).

It all starts in the mind....

Learning to Grow in Relationship and Spiritual Discernment

hearingGod's Letter:Words are powerful...they can create life or death. Consider how many people have said bad things about 'Bob'....those things become a curse & drag him down--it gives the devil access to torment him. I'm more careful now about how I judge people, because people can be so influenced by the devils voice. We should take it out on the devil & shut the access down instead of calling people stupid so much.

'Bob' I really admire...he is a really talented person--gifted in soooo many areas. Just so many nay-sayers that shut him down at times.
Most people want to medicate & drug the world...but I think darn near all of it is caused by spiritual access by the devil. Much of it built up curses that run in family lines. I tell you, I learn a lot more from God outside of man's view ofchurch since out of a 'padded pew'.

Sometimes you listen to those little voices too much...those ones that call you 'a damn sinner' & judge you as rotten because you don't go to church etc.-- that's a spirit of religion. I see more character in you than many that brag of being the number one bible study leader. You just need to believe you are who God says you are in Him & profess that when the 'thoughts' condemn you--because if you haven't figured out what i'm getting at...is that not every voice you hear in your head is your own...some of them you've 'thought' is 'you' your whole life---but really are inherited demons thru family curses. Then ofcourse you've got people you know that open pandora's box all the time & let the devil run right into their lives....that is different.
You can break the access the devil has by drawing close to Jesus & asking Him for deliverance. Asking for the sins of past generations to be broken so that they cannot have access to your child. I could tell you some wild stories. It just comes down to a matter of believing what the bible says & whenever you screw up to go to Him & ask forgiveness & then your slate is wiped clean & it doesn't get passed on to your kids. It won't work if you do it outta lip service out of fear...if you genuinely get to know Jesus & believe what He's promising--then you'll see all sorts of miracles & hear His 'voice' in all sorts of ways. Having a relationship--that's key. You'd do anything for a friend that you love...that's the kinda relationship God wants with people. 'Religion' just wants people in bondage & under laws & judgement. God only gave 'laws' so people wouldn't do things that would give the devil access into themselves....but a spirit of religion wants you to dress 'right', do this, do that or you'll burn in hell--Ha ha ha. Once you understand the difference between the 'why' God commanded something---that it was to protect people--you can really have freedom in life. Man puts himself into bondage under a spirit of religion. When 'free' you can explore that truly nothing is impossible & that God put talents upon you & desires in your heart & that you should pursue those things. You find fulfillment in life & His kingdom comes--everybody's happy ; p

Seeking Christian's Reply Letter:
Thank you....that helped.
You made me realize how much I put 'Bob' down myself.
I'm not sure about the family curses etc. and I know I'm not the best person but I appologize to God when I think bad thoughts about others and thank him for things that are good. I don't claim to be a holy roller or the best christian, that's one thing that bugs me about those who do....when their actions don't support values. I talk to God, well usually thank you or 'I'm sorry' just about everyday. THANK YOU FOR MY SON ALL THE TIME, I'M SOOO LUCKY TO HAVE HIM. I appologize for thinking to myself how fat someone is. I ask for help to get some of the horrible thoughts that go through my mind out. I pray when someone needs help or dies; but thats about it. I dont think you'd call that a relationship. I have some work to do.

hearingGod's Reply Letter:
You're really on the right track. The way to boost the relationship more is to do as much listening as you do talking ; ') and by that I mean investing some time in reading the bible. I don't do it nearly often enough myself, but I had a few intense years of reading it a lot so it's easier for me to find what i'm looking for...or God to remind me of a story that relates to a situation I need help with.

A good way to start is start at the 4 gospels & read from them to the end of the bible (over a period of time of course) ...then...what I would do is just ask God what he wanted to say to me...or to learn or whatever & I'd hear that 'small still voice' tell me a book & then some numbers. If I wasn't sure if it was chapter 2: vs 31 or chapter 23 vs. 1...I'd just read both. Other days I'd just close my eyes, pick a page & point & then read whatever my finger landed on. Some days stuff wouldn't correlate at all but others I'd have a tear in my eye because He'd nail my problem or encourage me or whatever. It's always hard at first, but getting into a set groove about it (I think my first dedication to reading the Word was bathroom visits--LOL). The neat thing is everybody's relationship with him is different so stuff me & 'Papa' share won't be the same as how you 2 do. That's a huge problem in institutionalized 'church'....one person gives a testimonial on how fasting did some miracle in their life so then everybody else decides to follow it like it's some recipe or formula. So essentially people don't consult God for their needs & situations...they follow a formula, like God is some genie in a bottle. So then they wonder why God never does anything for them...well, duh....they never got close enough to Him...they just wanted to hang out with a human that did. If you put that into human relational terms...they aren't being friends with God are they?... I'd be ticked-off to be treated that way.

All I can say is spiritually speaking...the devil doesn't want you to get close to God so you'll just have these feelings & thoughts that are negative vs. reading the scriptures. And you'll hear excuses in your head & yawning & all sorts of stuff. But that's the thing...you already have a good communication base with Him...you just need to hear more of His heart & plans through the word. As you invest in that...suddenly, your ears & eyes will begin to open...a song (and i'm not talking christian radio either!) will come on the radio that has the same theme of something you just read that last night...someone will say something in conversation & although they are clueless, you can recognize that God is answering a question you just asked through them. It is pretty wild how God speaks & it's not all religiousy & solemn either. That's why I love the 'matrix' movie series so much...it's not a religious movie...but it's really true to what is going on spiritually in this day & age--I know whoever wrote it...that God was inspiring their pen.

Spiritual Tips 3 - Direction

If you're hungrily seeking God but find yourself at a crossroad of sorts and in need of direction, this episode is for you.

I don't have the time for doing a transcript for this one but let me expound that there are times when God gets a little quieter so that in your hunger to be in His will, you will pursue Him. In doing so, faith is tested and what we know to be true in the Word is proven.

1.) Knowing who you are in Him through the Word is paramount.
2.) Then I like to encourage people to take a spiritual giftings test... quoted from the teaching entitled Know Thyself - The Matrix.... I've often urged people to take a 'giftings test'...do a google on the internet for: WAGNER-MODIFIED HOUTS online and you can find an online test that will help you see what God has planted in you. Some people just mish-mash along doing a little bit of everything or they've been put in a box as a workhorse or find a position that looks better for their posterity than in really serving God.
3.) Discerning your thought life comes next... because if we allow those thoughts to tornado through our heads and confuse us.... if we agree with those thoughts or feelings, we become ineffective, waterlogged-- going around that mountain one more time sweet Jesus LOL! Check out Battlefield of the Mind - Discerning Thoughts. Not every thought is our own. Every verge of a deeper walk with Jesus involves a trying time... so that the dross in our life is burnt off and we are found worthy to take on more talents of the kingdom to multiply for the glory of God.
4.) After you become well-trained in taking those thoughts captive that do not align with the spirit of God... Congratulations.... now its time to press in hard to hear Him in all things. Now begins Battlefield of the Mind - Hearing God (another vid I've done).

Remember this is a process into conforming into the image of Christ, therefore, direction HAS to come from the Lord. And walking into His will for your life involves those tests that draw us nearer to God and prove our faithfulness to be His vessel. Seeking His direction is an awesome journey of growth, that doesn't come without price.

Sure, God can send us people to help us with direction... but we should be seeking Him more than asking everyone around us for advice!

Why is it so important to hear from God alone?.... well, man isnt perfect, and in the days to come, the deception will be so great that only those in intimate relationship with our Messiah will know what to do. Now thats direction to seek His direction!

Battlefield of the Mind - Hearing God

Hearing God is never a method but how do you learn to hear the voice of God?
I'll share a little bit of my personal experience in this episode of hearingGod.

Part of the Battlefield of the Mind is that you want to hear His voice, His direction and plans for your life.  He knows best, right?

First things first... we need to understand that the Word of God is true.  If we hit some grey areas then we need to seek God and ask Him to show us, and then be open with all of your senses to how He shows up.

Hearing God is a relational lifestyle.  You do some talking, you do some listening.  Do your friends like to hear vain repetition from you?  You certainly don't appreciate not being listened to.  Well, you have to view your relationship with God just the same.  I'm not big on 'methods', but it's pretty clear in the scriptures that God tells us what to do.
Mat 7:7-8 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
So, lemme share some stories with you...
The person that brought me to the Lord was so on fire for God.  He'd ask God every single thing... and one day he was sharing a testimony about how he asked God if he should have a snack or take a nap... and He had an impression of the answer and so he did it, & then all this drama happened later & it caused him to have to stay up all night or something so because he took this nap, he was 100% physically unfazed the next day.  So he was just praising God because of something so simple... that he asked God, that he heard God and because of that obedience, in any circumstance he was kept in perfect peace and in strength.

So how does God speak?  Can you use your imagination?  Anything of your senses, including dreams.  Things that repeat in your day...  you might not get it the first time or two, but when He keeps putting it in front of you, you have to ask yourself is this really coincidence, or is this something I need to pay attention to?

Another bit of sharing of something that happened to me recently...
I had a person contact me over a comment I had in one of my videos where I was saying that the KJV is the best all-round version to stick with.  So he was dogging that a bit saying that there was omission/replacement of the Creator's true name with Lord... yadada, yadada.  Go check out this website the actual name is Yâhuwshúa` or Ya-hweh. So I asked God that night, cuz I was feeling a little unsettled and then that night He gave me a dream...

In the dream I was at a track... preparing for a race. People were getting dressed for the final run. The female coach was bent on a sort of favoritism for 2 of the other runners... they were good at running. The coach didn't seem to care for anyone else.

When it got real close to race time, I asked "where is my jersey & shorts?" & the coach snottily said I wasn't allowed to race because my previous race times were not totaled up and signed by a coach. Suddenly I was forbidden to run because of a technicality? I was angry... the coach clearly would not help me over this issue that wasn't my fault, and wouldn't allow me to approach the start line to appeal to judges over a very simple matter. End of Dream...

When I awoke I had a parable play out like a waking dream... a vision, if you will.

There was a big party and I met a gorgeous man there and we had the best time together. We were immediately in love. Before the end of the night we made plans to go out on a date... to meet at a certain place at a certain time. After we parted, friends asked me his name... but I was unsure of his name so they began to badger me that it wouldn't work... attack me for not knowing and trying to talk me out of everything to destroy us. But I knew it didn't matter because we had already made plans and we were in love... I only had to follow our plans and show up. End of Vision.

Case in point.... I have a copy of 'the scriptures' bible which has 'proper' biblical names in it. I am well aware of the 'proper name of God' debate... but every day people cry out "Jesus" and He saves them.

And this was the ironic reply I received after sharing what God spoke to me:
"If you were the known beneficiary of an inheritance, but the person who made the will put down a nickname for you that only he or she was aware of, who do you think would receive the inheritance? Whatever your real name is, that is who should receive the inheritance, but because a nickname was used, you would get nothing. The point is that while even I was originally saved under Jesus Christ, after learning of the original name of Yahuwshua, I believe that calling on the commonly known name (Jesus) is no longer valid."

BAM BAM.  Let him who has ears HEAR!  See, God already addressed all this in what I shared... the dream being that this person was like the coach... trying to discredit and rob me from racing based on a technicality, and prevent me from going higher to resolve it.  And with the vision... He's saying it's about the heart. It's an individual thing.  Guess what, HE knows my nickname!!!!  And guess what, if we discredit our foundation, what are we built upon?  God says this name thing is a run to a fro chase after the wind!

So let me elaborate the hearing process...
I didn't run off to that website, because I could feel in my spirit that something about this wasn't kosher (the Holy Spirit began to churn).  So basically, I asked God FIRST. Then, after asking... the listening begins. A thought entered my mind of a poster a friend gave me that has many names based on attributes of God--- many names, not one. Then the next thought was God speaking to Moses and presenting Himself as 'I AM' through the burning bush.  Can you see how the dream, the vision, the feeling or impression within my spirit & the thoughts are all building to a conclusion here?  This is a great example of how God can speak.  And note it's on many levels.

Sometimes when I'm really not sure of something, and have been crying out... I apologize, "God, I'm sorry if I missed you, could you please say it again, say it louder... or give me the patience I need to hear You out?

I'll give you another experience, and this is regarding hearing a song playing in my head over the course of a few days.  This is an example where I wasn't asking God anything, but God was telling me something.

So I'm getting this song and it's disturbing because it's saying I'm in danger and it's with someone I haven't talked to in a while.  So BAM BAM... suddenly 3 different people show up in my life that I hadn't talked to in a while; one of them even as long as in 8 years!

Now you know we are not to feed our pearls to swine... (Mat 7:6) but on the same token... we can screw up a whole heck of a lot if we jump the gun and don't wait on God for His full answer.  In this situation can you see there are some talents or some treasure of the kingdom to be earned here?  To what honor and length will I go in pursuing His voice? Yes, part of this is a test.  My natural man wants to ignore all three people or probe them to try and find answers by my own power.

One of the people said "Hey I can come over sometime with my friend"... and the Lord had shown me 6 months ago that this friend is bad news.  So oh, is it this person?  The one I hadn't seen in 8 years... and have a lot of catching up to do... is it this one?

If I would allow fear to enter in, instead of patiently waiting upon His next release of information... I could really destroy some relationships here. Instead I continued to seek Him.  I prayed for each of these people, and then when the telling circumstance came up... again, I felt that disquiet in my spirit the Holy Spirit rising up again..., THEN I knew exactly  which person it was and what the 'danger' was about.  Then I found myself so happy like my friend from so long ago that was all happy about asking God about eating or taking a nap!  Jesus, Adonai, El Shaddai, I AM... whatever nickname God has shared with you... HE knows what's to come, and He's always there speaking to us.  We just need to listen.

Seeing Elohim... Pay Attention, God is Everywhere

So often people go looking for the devil under every rock...but why not do this with God instead?

Everywhere and in and through EVERYthing...God is reaching out through His creation for fellowship with us.  If you have a searching heart you will see Him, you will hear Him...all of your senses will be receptive to Him.

In the beatitudes Jesus says, "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,  for they shall be satisfied." (Matthew 5:3-10)
It has been said that the beatitudes are a progression that build upon each other...so if you move down from this 4rth beatitude to the 6th...it says:  "Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God. "

So, if you hunger and thirst for that relationship with God, that righteous communion.. and continue on... truly, you are what you eat...and you will grow to have a pure heart, and you will see Him.  That's pretty exciting but don't think that means a purely literal translation...a picture of a strong white-haired man.
In the original Hebrew text, the version of ‘God’ used, in the 6th beatitude, refers to 'the Creator', Elohim.  So because God as 'Creator' is used it broadens how we will  'SEE' Him.  Let me give an example:  In all of hollywood...you might not know an actors name, but associate it w/ the 'creation' that they were part of.. the film, and then you know just who they are.   You immediately get a picture of who they are and their whole performance in your head.  It's the same with God and how He shows up...but are you only looking at the natural or do you have a spiritual leg to stand upon?

When God really became real to me I was in a desperate situation.  I had no one...I completely suffered in silence...it was absolutely the loneliest time of my life.  The thing was, that I was in that situation because it was my own fault, and I accepted that fact. Through it grew a reverence for God...part of it was that He provided a book on how to live (the scriptures), and here I was in this lot in life because I didn't listen to them....so what was next?  I began to cling to Him.  He was all I had....if I didn't listen before & things were a wreck....now I could look through the scriptures in a new way.  I had no one else...and here in the scriptures it said that Jesus loves me unconditionally & that my offenses are completely wiped away.  He was my instant best-friend...He was the only one that understood & stood by me.

I began to devour the scriptures with enthusiasm and talking to Him... I felt like an idiot...I thought the only way to pray was out loud...and kneeling at the bedside stuff....but through it...He showed up immediately.  As an artist, I'm just more sensitive to visual things and He would do/and does the most beautiful things to display his love to me.

I remember one morning I was laying in bed crying and praying...expressing my loneliness to Him...then some clouds shifted and light struck the window sill and bounced off of a broken mirror and made a beautiful (never to be repeated) light show on the wall with a big heart in the middle.  My sadness immediately turned to joy...there was a message of love from the creator of the universe...whom just heard my hurt, my pain...and ANSWERED my cry in quite a different way.

How many dreams have you had that you knew were profound but you're too lazy to try to understand what they mean?  Are you earnestly seeking Him however He shows up?  He is always reaching out but He does so in a manner where you have a choice to reject Him...whether by writing something off as just being a natural event & sheer coincidence or in a manner that requires you to actively seek Him.

I've got an example....after about a week of waking up at the same exact time every morning....I awoke to a song blaring in my head.  What an awesome ballad from Him! I look over to the clock to see that same time displayed... 7:16.   I decided to go look up what those numbers mean biblically and this is what I found:
7:  Completion; finished work; perfection; rest; perfection in the Spirit.
16: Not under the law because of love; free; salvation.

And on the same token...He keeps putting 57 year old people in my path...I can't ignore how obvious it is so I go and look it up...
Biblically, Fifty points to: Pentecost, Holy Spirit, jubilee, liberty and freedom.  And seven, again, is: completion; finished work; perfection; rest; perfection in the Spirit.  Amazing...everywhere, in everything...He's telling me the same thing!

Wow, He's so happy to share His love for me....He doesn't want me to miss it!  He doesn't want you to miss it either.  Just like we need to invest in our marriages or family relationships...are our ears open, our eyes to see --waiting, & all our senses open to His Kingdom come?

"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,  for they shall be satisfied...Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God."

blind Faith

Could you offer your first-born on an offer of sacrifice?  What about something a little more 'down the earth', like go against the grain and suffer persecution from family and peers?

These are the days of 'blind Faith', where He's testing hearts in an unconventional manner.  Tune into His voice...it's a matter of who's 'taken' and whose ‘left’...and I'm not talking about 'rapture' either!

Based upon a dream I had...

I'm joining my husband on a mission where he has been for a while at a hotel on the beach.

I go down the elevator and in there a hotel employee says the strangest thing...about "In the event of a hurricane, you should be as close to the water as possible".  I am thinking to myself, "Is this God speaking?".

I leave the elevator, in search of breakfast, and a ‘christian’ is with me.  As we go down a hallway, to the left is a church service or religious function of some sort & this ‘christian’ immediately goes to their knees & is drawn & consumed by this event & is no longer responsive to me so I continue on.

I reach the beach in a tented area where breakfast is being served.  Again, a hotel employee (this time I over-hear conversation) mentions that in the event of a hurricane, one should be as close to the water as possible.

The wind is picking up a bit & the sky begins to look foreboding.  A group of men are talking about the weather and one of them has constructed something akin to an 'Indian weather rock'.  Before he can finish talking about it, it signals that a hurricane is indeed coming.

I recognize that, indeed, the information that the hotel employees gave me was actually God speaking through them unawares, so I pan the beach for the furthest structure--closest to the water, which is a small cinderblock towel storage building and I am looking it over to see how I can get in it as it is accessed by hotel personnel via key.

As I awoke I had the sense that, the whole hotel structure was going to collapse...so because I was to be in the small building--I would have remained safe.

Interpretation:

First of all...the Lord had me read in Luke 17 that night prior to the dream, so here is an excerpt:

31On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. 32 Remember Lot's wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left."

What we need to pay attention to in this dream in conjunction with what God was leading me into prior, is that I recognized the voice of God, but His instruction was Life-Threatenly unconventional.

"Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it."

--only by the Spirit of God will we be safe (by abandoning your will to Jesus)...those that attempt preservation by any other method will lose.

In the hall on the way to the beach a ‘christian’ literally was brought to their knees by 'religion' & lost all sense around them.  They became hypnotically ensnared & could go no further.  I feel this is a stern warning for those that continue to hop from function to function proclaiming "Here's it is' or 'There it is' (taken from Luke 17:20)--and remember that Jesus was addressing those that asked 'When would the kingdom of God come?'.  Recall His reply?  "The kingdom of God is WITHIN you".  So, the partner was captured & could go no further on with God because of the allurement of the Spirit of Religion.

God's method of telling me what to do was very plain to me, in that, by using locals that would never agree with such statements naturally.  So, although the directive would be fearful to the natural man, because I knew the Voice of God there was nothing to question in His seemingly deadly command.

Which brings me back to the excerpt I added...after that passage a disciple asks:

37 "Where Lord?"  He replied, "Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather."

I believe that this 'dead body' is the 'church' at large, and the ‘christian’ in my dream would represent a vulture that gathers.  Have you ever seen a lot of vultures fighting over a scarce bit of food?  Not a pretty sight.  This is a pretty accurate description of what happens as the churches all continually hop on these bandwagons all preaching the same things...all writing the same books etc.  Instead of being rivers bearing life, they are reduced as scavengers...similar how demons become as parasites leaching off the glory of God out of human vessels.

Judgement comes, but those that stay on task & target have nothing to fear.  The true sheep know the Master's voice and He continues to go after every last one.
