Deep Thoughts on 'Giftings'

We know we are told to desire greater ones (giftings). Is not a 'greater one' ANYTHING more than we currently have in our basket?  HA!

I don't know what some people are thinking... that hearing the audible voice of God or seeing Him is the aim?  That's the 'best' so forget about the rest?  LOL.  I don't know about you but I want it allll!!!!  There's nothing too small to put under my belt.  So many people just avoid the gift of tongues based on the scripture about prophesy being greater... and yet they don't understand that when we build upon the gift of tongues and move into interpretation...THAT IS PROPHESY!

Some people do have the gift of interpreting tongues... and you watch me interpreting mine as prophesy, but (confession) I don't flow in that actual interpretation gifting with others.  (Whatttt? F1, I thought you were some super-duper holy person!) I've had people ask me if I could interpret their tongues & I've had to refer them to a person I know flows in it, because try as I might, I listen to them & get nothing.  Is that gifting available to me?  Yes it is, IF I earnestly pursue it... and I haven't!  It's not honestly a burden for me. I am happy to flow in interpreting myself (prophesy)& to stop there.  But, other giftings like healing or miracles... I DO want those badly!  So I display that desire by stepping out to pray for people & situations that seem to be hopeless.  I am pursuing what I really want  : D

Fishes, not rocks... it's available & He places those desires within us.  We are all part...there are many giftings.  I liken it to different jobs... could we be a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a.....a..... a..... yes we could, but it takes a lot of study.  Do we have time for everything?  Well, we might pull it off, but perhaps not a brain surgeon, perhaps a little town lawyer, but not one vs. the supreme court...teaching nutrition perhaps, but not at Harvard....  that's why we see people gifted in certain areas... like deliverance or healing...and the people that sit under them begin to flow in those anointings as well. I don't say this to hinder giftings likened to the heights of a big time lawyer, doctor or teacher....LOL.... because we know even that IS possible IF we are faithful with the talents that we are given!

Mat 25:20-21 "The one who had received the five talents came up and brought five more talents, saying, 'Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have gained five more talents.' His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.'"

So we start off with those burdens He places within us & then we don't stop...we just keep on going...being led of His spirit seeing every situation as an opportunity to shine as His beacon  : D

There IS security and promise amidst it all... for those whom hope in Jesus... for all those turn from this world and it's ways and Turn to Him.

So You Say... Deep Ruts are Hard to Get Out of?

 So you've fallen and you can't get up?
Deep ruts of sin, lies believed... you name it... if it's been going on a long time... the wagon tracks can get deep!

I liken it to the justice/criminal system in how some things can require you to STAND, a while longer for than others just like some crimes you do more time for.  Sure, all sin is judged as sin, but some things just cater that enemy access more than others and so it requires one to be tested, tried and proven by a lifestyle that has gone beyond 'hearer only' into a 'DOER'.

'Doer' status comes by effectually conforming to Christ by heaping in the truth from the Word and living it out.  As those attacks come, you fall less and less... conforming to God's society so you can function as an upstanding citizen!
AND... you not only overcome, but you give God Glory in the process!

The Famine... Here it Comes!

As an artist... you have that DRIVE... that insatiable desire that even if things aren't going so well right now that...that creative outlet brings you fulfillment. Some of you may be feeling like it's a love/hate relationship LOL... but it's not that at all... it's simply because God has given you a unique purpose... an anointing and appointing. Being who HE's made you to be is no shame, despite perhaps many negative words spoken against you by others that cannot comprehend this creative burden that you have.

I encourage all creative peoples to blossom in whom HE's made you to be by first finding purpose in His ultimate plan. The accountability as an 'artisan' is a big deal... you have a high calling in bringing things 'to life'. We know this can be abused... we can easily create idols... our 'idols' can also lead others astray! We can also attribute all glory to ourselves and ignore God as ultimate creator that gives us all things... including our talent.

If our creative drive gives us some fulfillment... imagine if we turned it completely over to God and allowed Him in the driver's seat? If we really pressed into His descriptions, movements and design...

...Like a sunflower following the sun... following your maker's lead.
Seek His healing and truth and LIBERATION... because when you esteem Him above all... critics can no longer wound you... the harsh words from family no longer pierce you. You are His delight and He is yours!
