Occupy Until He Comes

Take authority in your region of influence by bringing in the Presence of God -- Occupying until HE comes.

Jesus did the work but we, as His ambassadors, must appropriate what He did, making His enemies His footstool. He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort but also to activate us in His Power. C'mon people... things are getting worse because fewer & fewer people actively allow Jesus to reign through them taking a stand!

In this teaching from 2006, Stingray also talks about the importance of paying attention to how the accuser of the brethren tries to get believers to attack one-another & the best solution for this type of mental retaliation after gaining ground on the enemy's front.

How do you bring in the Presence of God??? -- Praise n' Worship?, Prayer Walking?....Sorry folks, it's not a method...ASK JESUS.... after all, if Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing... we are to do the same : ) On the same token...it's not so important that you implement a '3-day rule' of not talking to people....but that you're mature enough to begin to recognize the mental warfare that ensues... you may be able to control it, but others might rail you unawares... easily forgetting what's really going on (it's not so fun to try to explain it's the enemy causing it in a heated moment so a blanket & agreed upon '3-day rule' can be rather helpful).

The Accuser

A focus on the Accuser of the Brethren based on a study originally found at (but the actual link to find it had went defunct):
http://www.wholeperson-counseling.org

This study focuses on the book of Nehemiah-- looking at the actions of Sanballat, Tobiah and other peoples that were opposed to the Israelites rebuilding Jerusalem after having been freed from the Babylonian captivity. [*A good study-- not vouching for the ministry as I don't 'follow' people around, I only multiply what HE puts in my lap.]

As we endure the more and more frequent birth pangs leading up to the second coming of Jesus, I want to exhort all of you out there that are becoming aware of the weeds growing right alongside of the wheat. These weeds that attempt to choke out your growth, block your access to the light and drain you of the nutrients you need. How many of you have encountered a person that 'knows' the scriptures but pushes a doctrine or condemnation at you if you don't believe exactly the way they do? Let's dig in and expose the 'accuser of the brethren'.

You may learn to recognize the accuser by looking at the actions of Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem in the Book of Nehemiah in the scriptures. As a background… this the story of Israel’s return from the Babylonian captivity and the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. The Israelites had favor with and were encouraged by their new Persian ruler to go rebuild their city and make offerings to their God. However, the people who lived near Jerusalem did not want the Israelites to build the city again. People like Sanballat and Tobiah were connected to the Israelite people via marriage.
[Ref: Neh 13:28 & Neh 6:18]
But marriage was a no-no with people that didn't serve YHWH for many reasons… foreign people served foreign gods, and our God wanted a people for Himself… not divided amongst the kingdom of darkness.

“Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to his son, nor take his daughter for your son. For she will turn your son away from Me, and he will serve other gods …”
Deuteronomy 7:3-4

“No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of the LORD; none of their descendants, even to the tenth generation, shall ever enter the assembly of the LORD, because they did not meet you with food and water on the way when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. “Nevertheless, the LORD your God was not willing to listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the LORD your God loves you. “You shall never seek their peace or their prosperity all your days.
Deuteronomy 23:3-6

We don't have a correlation here like in the book of Ruth…

Ruth 1:16 "…for where you go, I will go … Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God."

…but we have peoples intermingled …peoples with spiritual defilement that do not abandon those root spirits that are evident as they manifest against the children of God.

We can look at this today as the accuser of the brethren… or people that contain that same sort of 'mixture'-- with one foot in the bible, yet not adhering to true conversion (or 'circumcision of the heart') by displaying the good fruit of a life ruled by Jesus Christ.

Now I just want to share some great bullet-points I found in a little Bible study I found at: http://www.wholeperson-counseling.org/warfare/the_accuser.html
It's important to know and be firm in what you are doing despite any attacks, despite any accusers that rail against you. Sometimes it's just helpful to see the 'writing on the wall'… or better yet, the scriptural gist of what you know is coming against you, so instead of wasting your time you can confidently let people babble all they want and remain undistracted from winning the prize.

"When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard about it, it was very displeasing to them that someone had come to seek the welfare of the sons of Israel." Nehemiah 2:10

• The accuser is grieved when you seek to rebuild your life in Christ.

"But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard it, they mocked us and despised us and said, "What is this thing you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?" Nehemiah 2:19

• The accuser will laugh at you to make you think that you are doing something wrong or ridiculous.
• The accuser will despise you, that is, look down upon you to make you think that you are lower than he is.
• The accuser will question what you are doing and try to get you to raise questions about the legitimacy of what you are doing.
• The accuser will question your authority and suggest that you are in rebellion against the established authority.

"Now it came about that when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became furious and very angry and mocked the Jews. He spoke in the presence of his brothers and the wealthy men of Samaria and said, "What are these feeble Jews doing? Are they going to restore it for themselves? Can they offer sacrifices? Can they finish in a day? Can they revive the stones from the dusty rubble even the burned ones?" Now Tobiah the Ammonite was near him and he said, "Even what they are building—if a fox should jump on it, he would break their stone wall down!"
Nehemiah 4:1-3

• The accuser will gossip and turn others against you.
• The accuser will use his anger to make you afraid.
• The accuser will use his anger to belittle you.
• The accuser will mock you and what you are doing.
• The accuser will accuse you of being too weak or too old or too young or too ignorant to do what God has told you to do. -Disqualification - Intimidation
• The accuser will question if you can protect yourself.
• The accuser will question your depth of commitment.
• The accuser will suggest that you have made a rash decision that you cannot keep.
• The accuser will imply that it is too late to change because of your past experiences.
• The accuser will suggest that even if you start to rebuild your life, that it won't do any good.
• The accuser will declare that you will be overcome by the smallest enemy.
• The accuser will state that the least pressure will cause you to fall again.
*The glaring absence of Faith, Hope or Love in you.

"Now when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the Ashdodites heard that the repair of the walls of Jerusalem went on, and that the breaches began to be closed, they were very angry. All of them conspired together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause a disturbance in it."
Nehemiah 4:7-8

• The accuser may attack you repeatedly with strong anger.
• The accuser will join his forces (demonic powers) to fight against you.

"Thus in Judah it was said, "The strength of the burden bearers is failing, Yet there is much rubbish; And we ourselves are unable To rebuild the wall." Our enemies said, "They will not know or see until we come among them, kill them and put a stop to the work." When the Jews who lived near them came and told us ten times, "They will come up against us from every place where you may turn..."
Nehemiah 4:10-12

• The accuser will attack when you are tired.
• The accuser will attack when you don't feel like you are able to rebuild.
• The accuser will suggest that he will attack you in secret when you don't know he is attacking.
• The accuser will declare that he will destroy you and cause you to stop God's work in your life.
• The accuser will say the same thing over and over knowing that if you ever stop to listen to him that he will have you.

"Now there was a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brothers. For there were those who said, 'We, our sons and our daughters are many; therefore let us get grain that we may eat and live.'"
Nehemiah 5:1-2

• The accuser will use division among Believers to attack also.
• The accuser will suggest that you are doing something that is unreasonable that will be of harm to others.
*Note: You may also have an internal conflict which the enemy may use against you.

"Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, to Geshem the Arab and to the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall, and that no breach remained in it, although at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates, then Sanballat and Geshem sent a message to me, saying, "Come, let us meet together at Chephirim in the plain of Ono." But they were planning to harm me."
Nehemiah 6:1-2

• The accuser wants to get you to listen to him so that he can talk you out of doing what God would have you to do.
• The accuser will try to distract you from doing what God would have you to do.
*Note: Are you taking time to listen to the enemy? Has he distracted you from doing what God would have you do? Nehemiah refused to talk to the Sanballat and the others:

"And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?" Nehemiah 6:3

"They sent messages to me four times in this manner, and I answered them in the same way. Then Sanballat sent his servant to me in the same manner a fifth time with an open letter in his hand."
Nehemiah 6:4-5

*Note: Just because you resist the enemy, he may not flee from you immediately. He is stubborn. He may continue to bring accusations against you a number of times.

"In it was written, It is reported among the nations, and Gashmu says, that you and the Jews are planning to rebel; therefore you are rebuilding the wall. And you are to be their king, according to these reports. You have also appointed prophets to proclaim in Jerusalem concerning you, 'A king is in Judah!' And now it will be reported to the king according to these reports. So come now, let us take counsel together."
Nehemiah 6:6-7

• The accuser will accuse you of rebellion to the authorities over you. Satan accuses us before God in Heaven, but Jesus is our defense attorney: "Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us" (Romans 8:33-34).
• The accuser may accuse you before the authority over you to push you into making wrong decisions.
• If you're not in a church of the box/institutional church anymore… the accuser will target those you are in covenant with… prayer partners or 'friends'.

"For all of them were trying to frighten us, thinking, 'They will become discouraged with the work and it will not be done.' But now, O God, strengthen my hands. When I entered the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah, son of Mehetabel, who was confined at home, he said, 'Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us close the doors of the temple, for they are coming to kill you, and they are coming to kill you at night.' But I said, 'Should a man like me flee? And could one such as I go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.' Then I perceived that surely God had not sent him, but he uttered his prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. He was hired for this reason, that I might become frightened and act accordingly and sin, so that they might have an evil report in order that they could reproach me."
Nehemiah 6:9-13

• The accuser may again use fear to keep you from doing what God would have you do. (The place of the temple was to be a sacred safe place.)
• The accuser may use those who are close to you (family and friends) and even those in authority to mislead you.

Okay… how many of you are shaking your heads and know people, or have personally dealt with the 'accuser' vendetta? You are not alone! We may not agree on all things my friends, but let's hang with those that are 'for us' in solidarity, and not align nor support what is essentially spiritual gang violence against the saints!

Spirits on Objects

Jacob testifies about how God showed him how 2 little cards can bring in big trouble. Pokemon cards may seeeeem innocent... ouija boards and tarot... dungeons and dragons... even harry potter... but the truth is, is that it's a doorway away from God.

How POKEMON and the Magic Cards Affect the Minds and Values of Children
by Berit Kjos - www.crossroad.to

"Who are the strange little creatures from Japan that have suddenly become global super-stars? Most kids know the answer well: They are called Pokemon (short for POCKEt MONster and pronounced Poh-keh-mon), and they have stirred up some mixed reactions.

"We just sent a letter home today saying Pokemon cards are no longer allowed on campus," said Paula Williams, a second-grade teacher in Danville, California. "The kids know they're supposed to be put away when they come in from recess, but they're often in the middle of a trade, so they don't come in on time. In the more extreme cases, the older kids are getting little kids to trade away valuable cards . . . . It drives a teacher crazy."

It concerns parents even more. "Recently, my children were given a set of Pokemon cards," said Dianna Brannan, a Seattle mom. "They are very popular with the children at our church and elsewhere. I was instantly suspicious but couldn't discern the problem. We have since been told that they are stepping stones to the 'Magic cards' that have been popular for the last few years, which we do not allow."

She is right. For instance, any child exploring the most popular Pokemon websites 2 will be linked to a selection of occult games. A click on the ad for "Magic the Gathering" brings Pokemon fans to a site offering promotions such as this:

"A global games phenomenon, Magic: The Gathering is to the 1990s what Dungeons and Dragons was to the 1980s, but with the added dimension of collectibility. Here is the official reference to the biggest new teen/young adult fantasy game of the decade, complete with full-color reproductions of every existing Magic card."

THE POKEMON MESSAGE. The above websites gives us glimpse of the mysterious little creatures called Pokemon. Ponder the suggestions in this greeting:

"Welcome to the world of Pokemon, a special place where people just like you train to become the number-one Pokemon Master in the World!"

"But what is a Pokemon, you ask. 'Pokemon are incredible creatures that share the world with humans,' says Professor Oak, the leading authority on these monster. 'There are currently 150 documented species of Pokemon. . . . Each Pokemon has its own special fighting abilities. . . . Some grow, or evolve, into even more powerful creatures.. . . Carry your pokemon with you, and you're ready for anything! You've got the power in your hands, so use it!'" 3

What if children try to follow this advice? What if they carry their favorite monsters like magical charms or fetishes in their pockets, trusting them to bring power in times of need?

Many do. It makes sense to those who watch the television show. In a recent episode, Ash, the boy hero, had just captured his fifth little Pokemon. But that wasn't good enough, said his mentor. He must catch lots more if he wants to be a Pokemon master. And the more he catches and trains, the more power he will have for future battles.

So Ash sets out again in search for more of the reclusive, power-filled, little Pokemon. His first step is to find the "psychic Pokemon" called Kadabra and snatch it from its telepathic, pink-eyed trainer, Sabrina. With the ghost Haunter on his side, it should be a cinch!

But Ash had underestimated the power of his opponent. When he and Sabrina meet for the battle, both hurl their chosen Pokemon into the air, but only Kadabra evolves into a super-monster with a magic flash. Haunter hides. "Looks like your ghost Pokemon got spooked," taunts Sabrina.4

Obviously, Ash didn't understand the supernatural powers he had confronted. Neither do most young Pokeman fans today. Unless they know God and His warnings, they cannot understand the forces that have captivated children around the world. And if parents underestimate the psychological strategies behind its seductive mass marketing ploys, they are likely to dismiss the Pokemon craze as harmless fun and innocent fantasy. In reality, the problem is far more complex."

DeMoNiC Manifestation

The demonic can manifest in visible, physical ways by either gained access or by permission from God. Join Freedom 1 as she shares some of her experiences with DeMoNiC manifestation...

I've been on a 'manifestation' - themed kick here lately but it's all about 'fruits'. . .
It's a key in hearing God...that you don't take everything that you're told and blindly roll with it, Jesus has set up a system where good and evil manifest in the natural as proof to back the source.

In the bible it says you'll know a believer by what they produce in the natural...and warnings to watch for the fruit produced by a person as it's either good or bad...(check out Matthew chapter 7).  But I want to take this beyond looking at the hearts of mankind & include a gamut of many things I've experienced and learned so maybe you can empathize, but maybe things like these have happened to you but you never connected the dots.  As you begin to be more aware of how the demonic manifests....it just helps you to better target the root.  We have to get into a flint-faced mode where any flashy manifestation of the enemy isn't going to rattle our cages or put us into fear.

So, let's start off on something really tangible.  I want to use this first because this is something you'll really feel.  See this here...this is something I'd like you to get in the habit of doing every so often.  This will help you on your purification process with multiplied results.  This is a list I made of everyone that has ever hurt me or people I've been mad at.  See many things are buried within us & are access points for the enemy and lest we confront them...we don't know they are there.   Approach this exercise humbly with an ernest desire of 'Forgiveness'.  As you write stuff down you'll note that some entries...you know you've forgiven or reconciled, there will be nothing felt or peace...but others you will start popping like popcorn inside.  What you are feeling is a demonic foothold beginning to war from being exposed.  Remember that Jesus says in John 20, "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”  Just as the Jews continually offered sacrifice for their sins, we must continually cleanse and ask forgiveness through Jesus in every area of our lives so the enemy cannot gain a foothold within us.  So do this every so often... and write every little thing down whether you feel it's completely healed or not because it's also comforting to see how far you've come!  Then spend time with God talking with Him about it....then throw the list away and then schedule another session with your Jesus therapist and do this again every so often.

Okay, moving on...when my husband and I first began to get noticed as threatening on the enemies radar, we had some reaaaaally bizarre manifestations.   The first one was that we found our marriage certificate out in our mailbox.  Mind you, this thing is buried in a wedding book & was in an envelope that over time had sealed itself.  So most people would think along the lines of 'Oh no, we had a home invasion', in the natural, and I'd say...try spiritual, and you hit the nail on the head!  So, though it seemed insane to believe...it was more insane to believe a human would do this.  See the devil can only do things by having earned access OR by permission from God.  This was something that God allowed because although the devil wanted to rattle our cages...God wanted us to see how the enemy desired to sift us...and it was plain to see that his aim and target was our marriage.

During this time I was always battling spiritual things at night and would often go to bed reading the bible & praying til' I'd just fall asleep.  One night I was really battling in my dreams &, at some wee morning hour, I awoke hearing my husband making a commotion.  On went the lights and he's out of bed, drenched in water and looking around to grab a tumbler off of the floor.  I'm wondering what just happened and he's quietly assessing looking back and forth, til' he finally tells me that the tumbler of water was dumped upon him.  He showed me where he placed the water on his night stand (next to his head) before bed, where the water was dumped (on his crotch) & where the cup ended up (at the foot of the bed).  It was clearly not a case of him tossing & bumping the glass in the night.  Again, this was allowed by God and taught us that we needed to claim our territory, and make a spiritual safe-haven at our residence.  As we prayed over our property, anointed it and claimed it for Jesus, these big events decreased and I didn't have to war as much in the night.  It's still hard when you are targeted in the spirit, but the blood of Jesus became as a mighty spiritual force field for us.  Remember again, the Jewish sacrifice....it was a continual thing...and though Jesus died once, we must continually go to him for forgiveness, for covering, protection...we must put on our armor daily...just as we ask for our daily bread.  We can't profess once and expect that band-aide to last forever...God wants a relationship, a continual one.

So other manifestations we can see in nature.  We have experienced crows hanging around excessively.  I had a friend that saw maggots a lot during a big spiritual battle.  We've had flies in the house in the winter time...and I don't mean a couple....I mean like hitting 15-20 A DAY...searching everywhere for a dead mouse or some explanation for them & finding none.   And then another manifestation of very large scarab-like beetles...it could be understood if they were all the same type...like maybe a mating season or something...but when they are huge and completely different types of beetle...well, pay attention...it's a manifestation that is allowed for a reason.   Just like the water dousing exposed that we needed to build up a spiritual wall, and that the marriage certificate incident revealed that we needed to focus most on our unity as a couple...the natural manifestations reveal something as well, and you should pay attention and pray and investigate what it means.

When we had the flies, it was at a time where God had already given me the scripture about Pharaoh's words coming back upon his own head (remember how his profession of killing the first-born came back to haunt him?), involving a certain person/situation.  So when the flies came, I knew it was related to deceit and the hardening of ones heart.
Again, God allows it so you can know and be prepared.

Sometimes, these manifestations give you a heads up about a principality that God is fashioning you to deal with, or so you can be on guard verses witchcraft attacks.  We've actually had poison ivy break out on us at the same time when a person was manifesting and poisoning others against us.  God allows this strange manifestation stuff to have a root in the natural because He wants us to all have choice.  We can choose to blame something on a home invasion...write something off as a dead animal hiding somewhere or accept poison ivy for what it is even though I haven't been out in the woods.  The important thing you realize is that because it happens it doesn't mean you've done something wrong.
Realize that demonic manifestation either has a legal right to happen through such a thing as sin or unforgivingness in your life or it's allowed, in a controlled environment, by God to show you something. Through unrepentant sin and unforgivingness you have no shield of protection by God, and the results can be devastating.  But why would God allow us to see or experience this 'ugly stuff' if we've done nothing wrong?  Remember that Jesus bore our sins...He took on our iniquity.  Every ugly thing that could happen, happened to Him for us.  We too, being formed in His image and likeness will have to see this ugliness in life.  We'll see these things as warning, and for the purpose of joining into intercession.

As death has no power over us, nor fear any foothold in our lives...we become spiritual towers.  When all else falls apart...people can look to us with hope as we testify the spiritual reality to the physical manifestation.
